Salt has an abundance of uses. It helps us metabolize water, preserve food and…gather clams? Yeah. The little guys hang out under the sand along the waterline on the beach. With a little salt, gathering these tasty morsels only takes a few seconds. Check out how below!

Okay, not very sporting, but when you're gathering food it's either killed or be killed. These clams are highly edible and an excellent source of protein, so any trick for getting ahold of them is likely to be a trick worth knowing.

What's great about this is that it only requires a small amount of salt and a couple of drops of water before the clam is practically jumping into your hand. I can't wait to hit the beach and try this out for myself. Clam bake, anyone?
