(Video) What a Prepper Should Never be Caught Wearing Post-Collapse. Wear This and There’s No Chance of Surviving.

what to wear during a collapse

Imagine that you're watching an episode of What Not to Wear. This episode is focused on survival clothing and the prepper who is being judged doesn't pass the test because he made one of the worst mistakes ever. He is wearing something that could get him in serious trouble when SHTF.

What if you were the prepper on this show? Would you pass the test?

When Doomsday arrives, you will find yourself back in the Stone Age. Even though many survivalists will end up disappearing into the woods never to be found, eventually if you're one of those preppers eventually you will have to emerge to get food. Eventually you'll run out of hunting supplies or will have some trading to do to get by.

However, what if you venture out after SHTF, and you come across people who aim to harm you? That very last thing you should be wearing is clothing that stands out. Camouflaged clothing is best so you can remain stealth at all times.

If and when you find yourself in this type of situation, you should never be wearing full tactical gear. You may be quite familiar with this type of garb — it consists of camo shirts, pants, a military grade face mask and lots of weapons.

Sorry, but if you go out like this, you'll likely get shot.

To find out what you should wear as opposed to standing out and getting yourself shot when SHTF check out the video after the break.

I really thought this was a common sense thing. Lol
Granted it is always good to repeat certain things.

ist not much about blending-in, most time of the video is about NRA-Propaganda. “In case of SHTF tell them about 2nd ammendment” lmao :D:D

Actual it does.. the Marine Corps, in the 70’s (I believe) funded a study that confirms it.. black stands out like a shadow, human eyesight especially our peripheral vision picks it up easily.

Some people seem to think they’re gonna be able to just hide when SHTF. I have news for such people. They’d best stop thinking about hiding and blending in, and concentrate more on training and organizing a community group of armed citizens to own and dominate their AO.

1st, what kind of SHTF scenario are we talking about (to include duration)?
2nd what geographical region are you in?
3rd this article ASSUMES that military or law enforcement hasn’t abandoned their posts to protect their own families or that the supply chain has failed because there is no infrastructure left to support them.

To me, this article falls somewhere in between a little bit of common sense and full retard.

Just don’t “Over Armor” that’s really the best advice. Whatever is comfortable and the ability to move freely is something to consider.

I dunno- I think people running around in camo and shooting innocent people will be hunted to extinction. I live in the country. We’re used to helping each other and we stand together in good times and bad. Some guy in camo shoots one of us for no reason and we will hunt him down with dogs.

This is true,,, have a change of clothing,,, townie clothing so you can blend in,, but invest and learn to use a boot knife and a good ankle holster doesn’t hurt,,, to name a few

Good thing I am not a prepper then and bring on the collapse. I am not a prepper but I am a survivor ,lets see who is and who isn’t and as for hat, glasses and the beard.. oh well.. not going to change them at all lol

Disagree. It’s all situational. Although I do agree with the fact that in an urban evasion situation (trying to get home), you want to blend in as much as possible, and maintain a low profile – I still believe there may be instances where dawning plates would be a necessity.

This is a fully bullshit article meant as click bait. If you clicked on it to read the article you are most likely infected. If your on a pc run malwarebytes, on a mac clear browser cache and run time machine to the day before you clicked on it. On an iPhone clear cache and reboot. On android clear data and cache and reboot.

He’s absolutely correct , camo isn’t helping you post shtf . And military and law enforcement will target you after any collapse , if you are wearing it . Basic black grey or blue , nothing green should be worn post shtf . Not even the smallest pouch should you consider post shtf , camo is fine now . For practice and daily wear , for camping and daily use , but post shtf , it should be seen like toxic waste . It will get you killed faster , because law enforcement whether they have instructions to do so or not , will target you . And military personnel after shtf will target you from the outset , because they know you’re a serious threat , and post shtf military are your worst nightmare .

That’s what I did for a few years. Blend in with the surroundings. You can learn a lot by being unassuming in a hostile environment.

If it is a Long Term SHTF and need supplies.. Surveil now anyone wearing 5.11 gear.. they will be the most likely prey LoL.. and don’t overlook “rustic old” or “US Flag” furnishings when scavenging supplies in “abandoned” houses..

You don’t want to be wearing university of Alabama shirts either. Hell who wouldn’t want to shoot you ?

Camo will automatically classify you as Government irregardless if you are or not, it’s the clothing that will stand out. Dress casual, jeans, regular shirt, fit in as if you are not prepared for this (no matter what situation comes up”. It’s common sense.

  25. Charly Blackston said:

HE is right, The most important survival technique is do go “in-noticed.” To stay below the radar. Situational Awareness will be the most important skill to develop when SHTF because this will dictate what you will wear and how you will deploy your assets to remain, in-noticed. One must start today developing this instinct, learn your environment and always have a plan B and C.

I’m going out full Agent Coulson if things happen. He survived an impalement by a Norse god and runs SHIELD wearing nothing but class and still kicks butt.

i have been saying that for years find a small town and move in and when SHTF get neighbors to band together and protect what is theirs and yours.
