You already know how to start a small campfire and keep it going, but there may be some situations where a longer-lasting fire is necessary.
We've got a cool video that will show you how to set up and start a self-feeding fire that lasts over 12 hours.
The video is from Bob Hansler and in it, he shows how to set up a V-shaped ramp. After the ramp is set up, you must arrange the logs in a similar V or U-shaped formation.
You must also be careful to leave enough space between the two first logs and underneath the ramp.
Building a self-feeding fire takes some effort, but it's not as hard as it sounds. To find out how to successfully build a 14-hour fire on the next page.
