The purpose of the Teaching Drum Outdoor School is to immerse students in the wilderness, in virtually every aspect of life – from living in a handmade lodge to buckskin clothing and foraging for food.

The individual in this video undergoes quite a transformation as he learns to cope in an environment most of us would find utterly foreign.

This type of immersion training is not for anyone – in fact, not for most of us.

It would teach us, however, not only how to survive, but how to reconnect with the ancient relationships with the environment, game and fellow “clan-members” as new skills of survival were learned.
