Here's a little more about the hottest pepper in the world: Today the Bhut Jolokia holds the Guinness Book of World Record title as the hottest pepper. The man who decides to eat part of this pepper in the video below personally grows these peppers organically in Hawaii. Watch this insane video that shows how for hours he agonizes through the burning pain from the heat of the world's hottest pepper.
As time went on the Ghost Pepper only intensified in strength, leading to this man having to lie down. At one point he even said he thought he might have to go to the emergency room! Good thing he didn't have more than just a small amount, otherwise who know what could have happened! Even though this video was entertaining to watch, it's an important lesson to know what you're eating before you just go for it. Luckily this man knew about the pepper being SO hot — but I don't think he knew it'd be THIS hot.
