Ancient Pathways and Tony Nestor bring us some incredible survival uses for Yucca!
Did you know the spines on a Yucca plant are well-used for defense? Perhaps not for human beings, although that is debatable, but for small animals. They are no fools!
It truly is a remarkable plant. Not only does it contain an eatable fruit that taste something like a yam when cooked, containing a great deal of healthy fiber and starch. But you can also take a bath with it! The leaves and mostly the root makes for a terrific soap, something a hiker might need after four or five days in the wilderness!
Yucca is also so fibrous that it is considered by many as the best plant to use as a natural rope!
In the video on the next page, a prepper named Tony shows us how to weave rope from Yucca and gives us some wonderful tips on its many other uses.
