As with any other situation, exercise caution and safety when using a sparkler as a signal. Even though it can also be utilized as a fire-starter, you want to make sure that you're setting that fire on purpose… not in an environment where the sparks could cause damage and put you in even more danger! You'll have plenty to worry about without adding a fire to the mix!
