When we have to bug out during a collapse, we probably will use a lot of energy. This means that we will not only be tired but also pretty hungry.
In this video from Pain Chaud, this guy shows us how to make a hobo stove with only a few supplies. If you are out of some of your bug out gear, knowing how to utilize this stove can keep you from starving!
All he used for a hobo stove was a can, a knife, and some power tools. He created an opening in the can and pokes holes around the top to allow for more air circulation. He put sticks inside and then light the fire and it worked so well. Then he put a pot on top and boiled some water. If you have to cook when you are bugging out and are low on supplies, you'll definitely want to make this stove!

I’ve made a few of these. The do work. The tin can is kind of hard to work with so try to find the thickest ones to use. Mine never come out looking good or pretty but it’ll do. They tend to use a lot of fuel so be prepared with a large amount of small wood.
I love it, I’ve seen this one before. It’s a cool concept.
Use a magnifying glass and the sun to start your fire
Or your glasses
Hahahaha, leave my thick glasses alone!!

Tin snips and a punch will work just fine. I’ve made several over the years and they are never preatty but they work and that’s the important part.
Great idea
screw pretty – in a SHTF scenario, useful is important, not pretty
I hear ya! All it’s gotta do is work.
