We think it’s this couple sense of humor that helps them get through the freezing cold!
But the question remains: Can any of us live off the grid in the Winter for at least a day? Sure, a day would be fine – but any longer?
In the end, we do what we have to do and as long as we have the knowledge, have been doing our SHTF research, we should all be fine. Just do not stop learning and, like this couple, keep a positive attitude… and a hot tub!

If prepared right, yes. People have been doing it for millions of years.
She is painful to listen to… couldn’t watch it.
We aren’t off grid yet and I do those chores daily except the hit tub. Plus more since we have animals to tend to as well.
Go off grid with out buying anything from a store. Did it for 1 1/2 years in Alaska and loved it.
Off grid for ten years… Hardest thing to deal with is things hurried and lost in snow and frozen water supply. Especially with animals
I know I can, but will stock pile on asswipes.
You can if you have practiced it and have the resources.
