Crayfish are an under-appreciated food source that are very easy to catch, tasty and a great source of protein and nutrients.
Crayfish are low in fat and easily digested because of their shorter muscle fibers.
Three ounces of crayfish contain the following nutrients: Biotin, Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Phosphorus, Protein, Selenium, Vitamin A, Vitamin B-6 and Vitamin B-12.
Because you can usually find litter just about anywhere on earth, your chances of finding the materials to make this amazing trap are very high – virtually anywhere you are.
A side benefit is that if you identify crayfish in a river, lake or stream, it means the water is generally pollution free and the fish are safe to eat – in moderation normally, but definitely in a survival situation.
This particular crayfish trap model uses a 32 ounce soda bottle and duct tape – that is it!
