Bamboo is a very versatile material – so versatile you can create a short-term survival knife or cutting tool relatively easily.

This tool will not let you hack through undergrowth or fight off a bear, but it will let you cut rope, meat and other survival materials.

A good knife is indispensable in a survival situation.
