(VIDEO) A Cut Above the Rest: How to Drill Your Own Well

how to drill your own well

Drilling your own well using PVC piping and a hose, essentially creating a “water drill” would save money and is very easy to use. Plus, it could come in handy when SHTF and it's something you would want to share with your friends and family when they're in need.

The key is to make sure you are drilling somewhere there is ample water to ensure your efforts are not wasted.

Part 1 got us to about 13 feet; part 2 will get us to a little less than thirty.

Take note that this method of self-drilling a water well will not work in every situation.

A rocky environment or one where there was a lot of ledge, obviously would make this method problematic.

But if the environment was right and it is legal, this is a fairly easy way to get access to life-sustaining water. Can you improve upon this method? Let us know below.

Talk to the locals. I punched down to 30 feet and lost the casing due to quick sand. Forgot about an elderly neighbor telling me they had to use drilling mud twice

Used to call it jetting pipes, it’s used to place lengths of PVC for pressure treating ground with concrete. Limited use in drilling Wells.

What we were trying to do but with a 4″ for a submersible it doesn’t work well
