Just about every survivalist knows that fire is one of the major priorities to any survival situation.
Fire lets you cook, keeps you warm, provides a sense of security, is a morale booster and can even be used to ward off intruders, two and four legged in a pinch.
While you hope that your various fire starters are functional, in some situations, that may not be the case you find yourself in.
When that happens, a bow drill set is one way you can start a fire without any external fire or sparking source (lighters, Zippo, sparker or flint fire starter.)
Bow drill fire sets date back as far as the fourth and fifth Millenium, BC; they are a reliable way of starting fire in virtually any setting (drenched or extremely wet wood likely will not work.)
The video on the next page will show you how to make a reliable bow drill fire set.
