Prepper BS to Stop Believing in Now… Before Doomsday Arrives

Post apocalyptic survivor in gas mask

When it comes to hypothetical situations of when the grid will go down and chaos takes place, many survivalists have an idea of what will happen. This has usually either come from literature or reinforced by pop culture, and everyone has a theory.

If you take a moment to think about all of the books that have including the premise of a person surviving post-collapse and the favorite post-apocalyptic tv shows you watch, there are probably quite a few. Also, that doesn't include the fears many have when even considering what will happen post-collapse.

However, when preppers think about these far-fetched theories, they may discover that a lot of them are total BS.

To figure out what is reality and what is myth preppers should always question assumptions.

After the break, you'll learn how to decipher the difference between fact and fiction and figure out which so-called “truths” are complete prepper BS.

    Writer/Editor:
Blatant ignorance alert. Direct conflict between three of your subjects EG: WROL vs Fortified in the Woods.
Major misinformation regarding govt. Interaction post collapse, even higher concentrations of asshattery assuming people conspire to commit crime yet also to prevent it? Why not write an article consisting of two words: “Who knows” aka “Duh derp!”
Seriously… It is now, beyond a reasonable doubt that your page is a click bait study for the ‘man’ to see just how many can think for themselves and what free thinkers are planning to do.
AWA the stockpile of evidence which reveals your prepper mindset rather than survivalist…. albeit, there’s some surprisingly decent posts about practical skills which amounts to the whole of your entire worth as a page.
Naysayers, you don’t want to even know the extent of my training, skills and experience, but if you DID you’d want the keys to it all for yourselves.
Seriously, this post disgusts me in ways that I can only describe as treacherous.
In all sincerity, wash this blemish from your pages before you provide false apprehension to gullible massed of brainwashed sheeple.
If you’re going to continue to flaunt blatant ignorance, please do not disguise your intentions as an educational page lent toward helping people to survive “what’s coming”.
    Sincerest regards.

Seems kind of pansy$#%&!@*to me. “You can’t survive on your own and don’t hurt anybody”. Be a lot of folks in for a hell of a surprise if they think this will be how things go. You’ll get shot breaking into houses right now.

Yeah, I just finished reading the article and the ignorance is astounding. They have to be smoking something to actually believe any of what they just typed, since common sense would dictate the complete opposite would happen. They must also believe unicorns will appear and lead them to utopia on rainbows. Pathetic.

If SHTF really happened, I think people would help each other much like you see in any small scale disasters, You will still have your criminal element to deal with, but the peace and togetherness wont last as reality starts sinking in. People wont to believe things will get better and someone is coming to help. That normalcy bias. When things start to go and supplies get low, in like 2 weeks after people run low on food at home. It will go downhill quick

I will stick to running my little farm and protect it with extreme prejudice along with my neighbors

A few good points, but non-lethal means of protection…REALLY??? Let me tell you something…if aggressive actions of criminals results in you having to protect yourself, you’d best not be dicking around with a beanbag gun. Geez!!! I’m done reading this Die Hard Survivor bullshit. Take this kind of advise and you will indeed die hard.

No need to read this horrible clueless article again, but I am enjoying reading the comment from those who know better…

And there will be some big shot with a bunch of like-minded muscle that will attempt to take over and make everyone’s lives even more miserable because they are power hungry and want to control everything. Got people trying that$#%&!@*now. Be 100 times worse if the shtf and there is no government/laws to stop them from taking control.

I’d like to try to preserve my humanity and in so doing offer that preservation to others, but I know what desperation and meeting inhumane people can do to the mind, and for sound instinctive reason. Anyone who forces me to be subhuman by threat or deprivation will be subhuman to me. Idealists are definitely living in a dangerous pipe dream around selfish people.

    Very valid points!
    I urge you to search:
    “FEMA +executive orders”
And read how the govt. Plans to control the insurgents, rogues and common folk when the SHTF. Prepper mentality will not provide sustainability… Not if we look at the protocol already in place, and yet further that understanding with how “catastrophes” have been handled over the last ten years. Now, I don’t plan to sacrifice my family well-being by helping every survivalist I encounter….
BUT… I have pledged to kill ONLY when threatened…
which includes the decision to avoid cannibalism / vampirism. Unfortunately, not everyone shares those values… Much like the modern movies depict (Book of Eli) for example.
May your thirst for knowledge be ever quenched by truth.

I think the person who wrote this may be a moron. Actually telling people “don’t go in the wilderness stay at home” makes me wonder if this person knows what they’re talking about. Staying in a populated area for a crisis that lasts more than 3 months is suicide. If the economy collapses and people are rounded up in FEMA camps it’ll be at least 6 months. Although the government may still be active that doesn’t mean your EBT benefits will be. What happens when someone hasn’t had food in a week? How about a month? Or better yet
