    I tried it two years ago on a hemlock stump (a portion of it so I could see the difference) and it really didn’t work as well as you would think. its slightly more degraded but not much. maybe it will accelerate in the future.

    Drill a 1/2 ” bore hole deep in the stump, get some Black powder, put about 3 ozs in the hole. Run some cannon fuse down to the powder, cap the hole with mud, light the fuse and stand back.

    Put a bag of match light charcoal on it…light and it will be gone…may take 2 bags if it is real big

    We always cut 1/2 lines in it then pure salt in the grooves we made walk away then the following year we shoveled it poured more salt on by mid summer it was gone.

    Rumor has it, you can Set a can of diesel fuel on a ladder with a drip line. Soak stump, light fire, start drip, let it go for a week.

    We always cut it as low as possible and remove loose dirt around it and start a fire on it. We enjoy keeping the fire going and it will burn well below the ground. Works every time

    Dig a hole under it. 3 quarter sticks and there is no more stump. And your neighbor probably has a new hole in their roof for good measure

    Takes too long. Drill it the same way, pour in kerosene, let it soak up, light it, done.

    Drill hole fill with black powder, pack very carefully insert fuse or wire for detonation and sit back and watch the show. Tell the neighbors first….
