NASA recently opened up about their preparations for a future asteroid impact. The government agency initiated an emergency plan back in October 2016 where they practiced evacuating people in one Southern California town.
Their plan included a simulation experience featuring a strong chance of an asteroid hit. In an effort to better prepare for the looming disaster, they worked with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
NASA predicts the planet will be hit by an asteroid sometime in the future; as for when and where it will happen, nobody can accurately guess.
In the meantime, we should start taking our own initiatives to prepare for this disaster that could happen in our lifetime. Unfortunately, asteroids are not something we can predict in a timely manner. If an asteroid was to hit, we would only 2 to 3 days at most to prepare.
We can and should keep a potential asteroid hit in the back of our minds when planning for a potential disaster. It's a good idea to plan ahead with electricity alternatives and stockpiling non-perishables.
It's also a good idea to arrange an emergency plan for your entire family so everyone can stay in touch even if everyone is separated.
Let's take another look at our previous report from NASA after the break.

Watching the world end would be second best to watching it begin.
Itd have to be much larger than a minivan
Anyone know anything about the Apophis Asteroid? That’ll put chills up your spine.
The Sun will burn out sometime in the future too. Hard to say when though.

Lol
SAME!!!
Around 2048 it hasa 1 in 150,000 chance to hit earth and it the highest on a scale being a 1 to$#%&!@*earth up lol hopefully by then we should have it figured out
Actually I read that it’s supposed to pass near earth around 2029,and in 2036 it’s lapses around its orbit back at us. The chances went from 1 in 100,000 to 1 in 45,000. Either way it’s the closest to doomsday besides Ww3.
And yet no one knows about it!
UM…. WHAT?
Wish he’d get on with it…
Bruce Willis…..
Forget what you were taught in school. Research and draw your own conclusion. NASA lies. They are hiding God earth is flat;)

If it was still the size of a minivan by the time it actually hit us as in after burning up an$#%&!@*im sure it would do plenty damage. It will hit faster than a bullet
Insert political propaganda here ” “
Yes it is going to happen……and it will make a direct hit on all of Nasa’s buildings . I know you may think this is impossible …but it’s true ! Every one of Nasa’s buildings was impacted by this asteroid with them fully staffed …. KARMA in ACTION ! The rest of world was saved from anymore BS coming from them . And all was well , afterwards .
un like ,,,
Just Google it…
This is just natural weather
Stop posting stupid s**t
Happens everyday
Those are called meteorites and we get hit by them all the time.
Asteroids are like small planets.
This, coming from the man who believes Bananas have AIDS in them
I’ll be ok….I have a jolly sturdy umbrella and a good solid cricket bat.
Not again
Nice
50 billion a year scam
Chris Moore Amen!
Bruce Willis will save the day, I’m sure of it.
Well if we werent all so worried about MONEY like morons then we would be an evolved species equipt to deal with such a thing…. Magnetisim is how ancient civilisations avoided destruction from astroids by using a tracton beam of energy (magnetised) to the effect of negative energy so as to deflect the astroid and avert catsrophie… all those famous comets that pass by SO VERY CLOSE are most likely ones that the ancients deflected…. you dont have to believe me because you cannot comprehend this but i know what i know…..
According to science about 3-4 Billion years from now. Humans won’t be here by that time, even if there is still a species vaguely related to us, they won’t be human by any stretch of our imagination.
Dude ur dumb look at the size of the one that whipped out the dinosaurs. It was the size of a mountain and guess what animals survived. One the size of a mini van would do less damage than a nuke.
The meteor that killed the dinosaurs was 6 miles wide and the impact crater it created in the Yucatan Peninsula was 110 miles wide. So one the size of a mini would probably leave a crater a few hundred feet wide.
Oh not again. I’ve lived through the last dozen times we were going to get hit.
Yawn! And there’s a boogey man on every corner.
Dude, can I buy weed from you?
If something that big hits I think I’d be ok with, Gonna be with my Jesus!
We were supposed to get hit 3 days ago
All these Sheep on here
Let’s just hope it happens on the evening of the 4th of July.
Julie Koch lol
Cool story bro
Won’t happen
It was supposed to have hit on 16 February what happened
