Preppers and people alike fear spiders for a good reason. It's usually due to their big eyes, long legs, and those intricate webs they make to catch their prey.
If you were to ask a survivalist why he doesn't like spiders, most would say it's because they don't want to risk getting bit by one. Even though most of these creepy crawlers won't harm a person — the bite from a spider usually itches like a mosquito bite — there are still types of spiders that can harm you.
It's important to note that for every spider that isn't harmful, there are still too many that will cause a person grave discomfort. If you haven't heard of a brown recluse, you're about to learn why this spider makes the bravest survivalist squirm.
Why is this? If a prepper got bit by a brown recluse, they would need medical help. However, if a prepper bugs out a lot then receiving the proper medical care may not be possible.
What is a survivalist supposed to do if there's no emergency care available to them?
On the next page check out the steps a prepper must take if they're living off the grid and get bit by a brown recluse. If there isn't any emergency help nearby, it's up to a survivalist to understand how to treat the bite.

Active charcoal works also
Three days until venom starts eating you up.. That means you have three days from the bite until literally a chunk of meat is gone.. Heating pad and a qtip.. The rest is for you to figure out.. I been bit 8xs by br’s.. Only the strong survive

7 times for me with the recluse. Once the black widow. Activated charcoal on the bite, changed 3 times a day. No lasting damages.
Damn right it does. 7 times the recluse has bitten me, 1 black widow. Activated charcoal each time.
I’m glad it works
I had flesh that turned black from the recluse, put the activated charcoal on, changing it 3 times each day. After 2 days, the black appeared to look better. About a week later, wound healed up.
It starts to eat away the flesh that’s pretty scary
I wonder if the charcoal helped your body develop Antibodies to combat it, if it happens in the future

Brutal bastards
Much easier to have a low voltage taster and taste the bite. Recommend a second party for tasing.
Happened to me in FL ate a hole in thumb luckily as an EMT I come across lots of specialty things including lidocaine scalpels packing ribbon etc etc so if I had to lance it and irrigate and pack it id be okay…problem is bite is so small unless u literally see the spider on you… usually dont know uve been bitten til its already painful red warm and swelling up
I don’t know about the antibodies. I do know the activated charcoal rids toxins from the body. It is used when someone overdoses on pills as well. You drink it in that case. It is used to filter contaminated water. I’ve turned others onto using it for spider bites. My boss and co-workers have used it on brown recluse bites. My house, which is very old, is a breeding ground for the recluse. Usually get bit every year even after spraying. Someone told me that once you get bit, it leaves a pheromone in you that attracts them lol. I’m starting to believe it now lol.

I call bullshit. No cure. Guess I should stop working on my entomology degree. People on the internet know more than my professors.
This all all bullshit. Recluse do not eat you’re flesh.
Wouldn’t a heating pad just aid the venom in spreading? When I got bit, I didn’t go see a Dr. I just flushed 3 times daily with hydrogen peroxide and packed the bite with neosporin

Perfect. I already have activated charcoal and bentonite clay LOL.
I’ve lived in Ohio for years the most these spiders do is cause a bad itch
It’s not a cure! It’s a treatment! Read the article again!

The article said treatment! It is not a cure!
You’re obviously thinking of a different spider then.
