Do you know if your solar panel system is working in the most effective and productive manner possible? Unless you are that rare type that frets over everything, you probably do not.

But even if you were curious, how could you ever tell?

The reality is most solar panel arrays are largely maintenance free and when there is an issue, it usually is pretty obvious – the panel itself is damaged by any number of things including falling limbs, snow and ice, etc.

If the problem is less obvious, however, you may not even know you have an issue.

It could be something as simple as a ground-fault interruption, but unless you experienced a problem with output, you likely would not know the difference.
