For those of you that do not know, an EMP is an electromagnetic pulse, caused by a sudden burst of electromagnetic energy. An EMP can damage electronics that you have in your home, or in more serious circumstances, cause damage to buildings, vehicles, and even the landscape itself.
Lightning can cause an EMP, as can nuclear weapons. We've all seen evidence of the power of an EMP – think of a power outage by lightning or the ruin of a city struck by a nuclear explosion.
In the event of an EMP, it can be difficult to identify which means of transportation will still be reliable. Will cars still work? Airplanes? Or will you have to walk everywhere? Depending on the strength of an EMP, you might be extremely limited in your options.

Problem is, solar panels would be damaged by the EMP. Couldn’t recharge it then. Did see a show, drove a 90 ‘ Ford Taurus and set off an emp. Car died immediately. But, simple electronics worked. Power windows worked. Fuel would be problem, but wouldn’t late model vehicles fair pretty well? Say 60-70’s. Mostly a mechanical vehicle.

Most American made cars pre 75 that ran with points style distributors can easily be converted to alcohol. Then all you need is a good still and a little knowledge. Ild consider having two stills, one for fuel using anything that is easily accessible and one for medicinal that could also be used for barter. Some might consider horses or even dogs with a small trailer.

It will take a solar panel days to put a useful charge on a golf cart. On smooth terrain, you’d blow that charge in a few hours… If people didn’t kill you for it first.
IF an emp hit, you have seconds to get your crap together. No one stocks lots of food anymore, so societal order will come apart quickly.
Think big, think real and form your plan. Closest of friends become threats. Weak minds become boat anchors and the list goes on.
Get one of these instead. Burns all fuels, goes anywhere, strictly mechanical and easy to repair.

EMP does not effect a battery.. only circuits. A battery has no chip or circuit.. it is only a power storage device.
