Pellet guns, along with airsoft guns and BB guns, are where young shooters and outdoorsmen usually begin. They are after all easy to use, inexpensive, and remarkably durable.

I love mine! Been taking care of rabbits at my place with one simple shot everytime at around 70-80 yards.
Not a good line of defence from people but truthfully i wouldn’t wanna get hit by a pellet and then have to dig the darn thing out lol i guess it would be somewhat effective if u shot them in the face which prolly wouldn’t kill them but would suck … Alot

Mine is a adult version winchester. Just as powerful as a 22 rifle. Hunt with it all the time and good for copeating with others on the target range and I don’t miss what I hit and I hit dead on my target

Its a sad story and i dont underestimate them in fact ive been shot with one of those pump up pellet guns. But i cant imagine it killing her with a square shot to the chest. When i was shot it broke the skin but that was it … But ive seen stories of people dieing from dome pretty crazy stuff … Stuff u wouldnt think would kill someone. It could have been one of those high end pellet guns but as far as the generic ones i dont think the fps is high enough.
I have a childhood friend with a pellet an 1/8th of an inch from his heart. Damn near killed em.
Hollow points could probably take down some medium sized game if hit in the right spot.
What is even more crazy is that she was engaged to the man who shot her, and it was not once doubted an accident BUT he was cuffed and took into custody that night. NO ONE there was offered any mental help for seeing their friend die a horrible death.
70-80 yards is damn good with a pellet rifle.
Some of the newer ones are pretty high powered compared to older ones.

I’ve got three pump BB guns. They are surprisingly accurate, good for small game and good for self defense. Heck, all I ever heard as a kid was mom yelling out the back door “YOUR GOING TO TAKE AN EYE OUT WITH THAT THING” Lmao!!
i have the Ruger version. It’s quite the upper body workout but great way to conserve the 22 LR

Dan, because we dont need a license to own a firearm and pellet guns are almost unregulated horsepower is everything. Many of us use pellet guns for larger animals where velocity equates to penetration
It actually went between her ribs and into an artery. That is what a cop told us during hunter safety.
Get one with under barrel cocking if you can afford it. Much more accurate in my humble open.

I have a crossman vantage nitro piston shoots around 950fps if you get the copper pellets it shoots subsonic… sounds like a .22
My pellet rifle shoots copper pellets subsonic and can shoot clean through a 55 gallon steel drum

I’ve made my own pepper spray and worked with habeneros for years and yes, it works. I save all my seeds from all the habeneros I make spices out of.. I had to use the spray once and found out later, the guy suffered for a week.

Are you aware Scott that there are high powered pellet guns that travel 1700fps and they will kill you as easy as a 22!
