1 in 1000 may shoot straight past 100 yards….
I bought mine for $140 two weeks ago
Most are sighted in with the bayonet on. Windage on mine was dead on when I got it. It shot extremely high. Once I figured out how low I had to aim, I was picking off all my targets at 100 yards.

It is for me. The sardine tins are about $100 bucks for 440 rounds. That’s pretty cheap.
I have a Ruger American .308, for me it’s just the more I’ve learned about them the more I want to own one! Something about those old military rifles!

Ammo has gone through the roof due to popularity and the import ban . Was buying 440 Rd spam cans of milsurp for $90 couple of years ago . Same Ammo IF you can find it is $200 and up !

Don’t know where y’all live that are payin $ 240 for a nagant but I recently saw a whole rack of them at a pawn shop for $99 apiece,your choice.
I bought one when they were fairly still cheap… Failed the headspace test. Changed the head on the bolt to see if it would pass. Nope… So it’s a wall hanger and worthless to me.

I agree with most of your points. However not known for being extremely accurate. This gun was know for that! Come on it’s a very common sniper rifle they were deadly accurate at long range.

I got mine for 150 at a pawn shop but I usually see them for around 2 or 250 I loved mine I could shoot 100 yards easy with the iron sights

Windex window cleaner, does wonders on cheap MIL surplus ammo.
