As far as natural fibers go, wool is one of the most versatile and durable.
It breathes more easily than cotton, is lightweight, an excellent insulator, draws moisture away from the skin and sheds moisture more easily than most other textiles.
Depending on the type of wool, it can repel odors and in humid weather, it becomes more absorbent, but also sheds moisture more prolifically.
Perhaps best of all, it is very low maintenance – it rarely rips and when it does, it usually is a controlled rip (as opposed to cotton which can rip from seam to seam.)
Wool has one consistent enemy – moths – who feed on wool
As such, protecting your wool clothes, be they hunting or hiking clothes or that wool suit you break out for weddings, funerals or church, is critical.
On the next page, we'll show you how to Make This Moth Repellent Sachet To Keep In Your Bug-Out-Bag (or wherever your store your wool clothes)!
