Nothing ruins a good picnic like a steady stream of wasps getting into the food. The same can be said of a perfectly good bug out cabin. A wasp nest will often become a threat to not only you, but also to your family and even your pets. If anyone in your family is allergic to wasp stings, this threat is only magnified exponentially.
In order to eliminate this threat, you have a few options. The first option is that you can purchase multiple cans of wasp killing spray and destroy the nests personally. The problem with this is that you run the risk of being stung.
The second option is that you can call an exterminator. But that's expensive and not the best option for keeping your bug out cabin safe.
The third option is that you prevent wasps from ever making a nest in the first place, and it's as simple as erecting a paper bag.

Fought with 10 to 15 nests under this over hang every year. Two years ago I put this up and haven’t even seen a wasp anywhere near my shop…..
