The field of codebreaking is known as cryptology, but you don't have to work for the NSA to learn how to unlock any Master combination lock without fail.
Of course, there are many times when this information would be useful, like getting into your storage unit when you misplaced the combination in a drawer months ago. Of course, if this is the case of the door at a bug out location, this would be extremely useful information then, too.
Having access to your gear in the worst of times is what's going to put you on top in a SHTF situation. For that reason, this is an excellent trick for any serious prepper to learn.
