7 Things Survivalists Can Scavenge From Cars When Doomsday Arrives

abandoned cars

After just about any natural disaster, one reality is that there will be a lot of damaged and abandoned vehicles due to the severity of the aftermath.

But even if a car is abandoned, vehicles can provide a ton of survival materials, tools, and supplies that a prepper can use during the aftermath.

It's first important to make sure the car is truly abandoned — don't start re-purposing a vehicle only to have an upset owner confront you.

Once you have established the car is abandoned, however, there is an endless amount of supplies you can utilize for survival purposes.

Some of these items include mirrors, hoses, and more contents that most owners leave because they're in such a hurry. However, you can use these supplies to your advantage and add them to your Doomsday stash.

To see an incredible list of survival supplies and parts you can salvage from an abandoned car, check out the following slides.

Batteries, lights, upholstery, wipers, fuel, metals, tools, rubber, mirrors, and just about anything else people leave in there. I mean, you could even take the seats out and have a comfortable place to rest. Oh man… I haven’t even started talking about the electronics… so so so many things.
