5 Events That Could Place the U.S. Under Martial Law

martial law

Martial law. It's one phrase that terrifies all citizens, regardless of their political leanings. With martial law comes complete restrictions of rights and privileges, a weakened economy, and lessened individual power to enact change via voting or even protesting.

Of course, one could argue that we are under martial law right now, but compared to what our situation could be, any form of martial law that exists right now is child's play.

For true martial law, one or all of 5 things must occur, otherwise, the people see the enacting of martial law as an arbitrary crackdown and will fight back. For martial law to be truly effective, the people must think that the government is acting in the interest of the people.

One look at history, and you will know this is an absolute fallacy; martial law exists only for the benefit of those in power, and regardless of where you stand on the political playing field, you know that's not the voters.

So what are those 5 things that must occur for martial law to be successfully declared? Find out on the next page.

I feel no terror hearing the word. It is time to nourish the tree of liberty with the blood of traitors. Start the ball.

My entire time in the army it was reiterated that the commander in chief is in charge, but seeing as the president controls the doj even though hes not supposed to im sure it doesnt matter who is technically where in the chain

You really haven’t heard anything about his Civilian youth corps that was started when he took office. Wouldn’t surprise me if he stocked all these local police with military grade equipment on purpose for a future event. But then I’m a glass half empty guy anyway.

Article 50c – look it up people, then decide if you want martial law. I have no desire to make Obama the Supreme Dictator of the US so no I don’t think martial law is a good idea right now.

Right direction, wrong track. Its not the presidency that must fear us. It is the oligarchy of senators and “representatives” with past, present and future seats in D.C. that must learn to fear us. Sorry to correct you good sir.

Anyone paranoid to believe it will happen already has their house for sale.
the President is the Commander in Chief which is the highest military authority. All generals and Admirals answer to him.

1 event that could stop that is for the enforcers to wake up and see whats really goin on. Then it will be a very small group of nasty, bitter old war hags doing the arguing. Lol.

I said loosing not lost. Our right to free speech is under constant attack. Our right to keep and bare arms.

I was thinking the exact same thing, but also included Ryan’s thoughts. These people that claim to work with our best interest in mind could not possibly be further from it, they cast their votes with their own wallets in mind and little else. Most don’t even give a rat’s$#%&!@*about the fact that their pursuit of the worthless dollars is destroying this rock we all have to live on.

Considering all the points laid out, Obama covered all his bases to let this happen. People need to wake up… Bc the points laid out have already happened….

  17. John Hubert said:

There is no provision in the Constitution for martial law. Any president who declares martial law is automatically a traitor and must be executed.

it’s not going to be that official. it’s going to look more like standing rock

A careful evaluation of current world and US conditions along with a study of world history (especially the rise and fall of$#%&!@*s Germany) is enough to give any reasonable person pause to consider the possibility of martial law being declared. It’s not a thought that I personally fear. I know where I stand as a free man. I know what I’ve prepared for. While martial law isn’t high on my list of possible scenarios it is amply covered by being prepared by a terrorist EMP strike or economic chaos similar to Argentina or Venezuela. Personally…. I don’t think it’d happen. I live in a state that has little respect for the federal govt overall and this administration in particular. But…. like I said…. having insurance for other contingencies covers martial law quite well. Nothing to fear.

Martial law means Obama stays president…. Or under proper definition, “dictator” of this country…..

Actually under current law due to the NDAA the Director of Department of Homeland Security becomes CIC under martial law

Holding office was never meant to be a career choice, I definitely agree with needing term limits.
