When you were a young boy, it was likely you used BB guns and airsoft guns before graduating to other guns. You also likely had a pellet gun, because, after all, that's where a young outdoorsman begins. Pellet guns are easy to use, which makes them a great tool to learn on.
As young boys age, it's normal for them to leave their BB guns behind and begin to focus on larger calibers. These weapons are used for hunting and are a staple to many men because they want to be ready to be put food on the table and protect their family when SHTF.
However, when SHTF a humble pellet gun will once more become a dependable weapon for many. Sometimes a smaller gun is all it takes to protect a family.
I know, you may be thinking: Is it a good idea to trust a pellet gun when there are so many other powerful weapons available?
On the next page, read about four compelling arguments that might just convince a prepper not to give up on their pellet gun. It turns out that this gun is one of the most practical solutions to helping preppers survive during SHTF!

Save real ammo and hunt with this. Plus it wouldn’t be hard to make your own pellets from lead wheel weights or fishing weights
I have 7 RWS rifles and kill lots of critters and eat them!
If you could make a mold for the pellets. But they are cheap right now. I buy a canister every chance I get. I have thousands.
My RWS 350 will knock down deer right now! Shoot them right through the ears!
Yeah true sure it wouldn’t be hard. It’s only lead.lol and can never have enough
What’s the weapon look like Rws 350
That’s looks like a pioneer pellet gun
Andrew Fancher this one is a 22 cal. And shoots 1400fps. Bad$#%&!@*weapons! Google RWS you will be amazed at what they make. I also have it in .177! The 22 just hits harder. I shoot hollow points for game.
Lewis and Clark carried air rifles
We have a 177 cal. Shoot’s 1200 fps I think its a gamo
I have upgraded springs in mine. The knock down is awesome at 60 yards!
Ricky Agnew I always has Gamo, but the Germans have these RWS rifles dialed in. Walnut stocks and fully adjustable triggers! A Weatherby of the air rifles!

I believe that by adding a pellet gun, you are prepping to live after the initial combative stage of an SHTF situation. Instead of living to prep.
Gamo hits just as hard and is lighter to carry, plus it can get wet and its all good in the hood, won’t crack or chip and only cost around $100usd
Best all around is still a .22 rifle. Its a deadly self defense weapon, you can carry hundreds of bullets and still your food and supplies without the weight of larger calibers, and extras you didn’t need. You can still hunt small game for meat and have plenty of stopping power for pigs, 4 legged or two.(never try to face down a charging wild hog with ANY CALIBER. Get out of its way)

Got a .20cal 1967 silver streak mint..
You can kill a 90 pound hog with one! .22cal
Kid shot with a 357 caliber
Love gamo! Gamo Whisper Fusion 22 caliber.
Things are the cats meow imho as well, don’t want to be stuck without one cause they provide many resources when times get tough and its only a matter of time before that day comes for all of us
I concur LOL
Is this not just common sense?
I have the Gamo Whisper Fusion .22 caliber!
Great for back yard hunting
Pallets! I don’t think they make hunting BBs
I like them, but the new ones seem a little noisy to me…
Rob Hood
Wild hog got nothing on 7.62×39. That said, still best not to find yourself in front of one haha
Have several nitro piston rifles.
Like mine as well
Well a 45-70 seems to stop em real quick
A bb gun is a good quiet source of food!!
Nice thing about the pellet rifle you can use more than just pellets as ammo we have made darts, shot nails all types of different things and even took out a couple pests using the nails
Got a 20 cal as well bluestreak!
*sigh* The ‘murkan macho complex again; “If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn’t, shoot the SOB who got it first, then tie it to the roof of the SUV and race home whooping and throwing Budweiser cans out of the window”. Why do ‘murkans have this obsession with shooting things?
