3 Reasons Why Mosquitos Love Biting Some People More Than Others While They’re Bugging Out

mosquitoes

Sometimes it seems as if mosquitoes were sent to us from the bowels of Hell to do nothing but cause annoyance, pain, and misery. They can dampen spirits on a camping trip, ruin a barbecue, and spread a plethora of diseases all over the world.

Many times, it seems like nothing can slow them down, no matter how much insecticide or bug repellent you use in preparation for such an event.

But amid the slaps and cursing, you may have noticed something peculiar about some of the people you're spending time with. While you jump around and try to slap every mosquito that comes within arms reach, some people seem not to be affected at all. This only makes matters more annoying.

But why does it happen? Take a look at the next page for three major reasons why mosquitos seem to prefer some people over others.

    Blood Type
Research shows that people with Type O blood attract more than twice as many mosquitos as those with Type A blood (Type B blood attracted a med-range of these two). I’m type A- and my husband is O, so this definitely explains some of his popularity with mosquitos.

Hogwash. I’m type O neg and i rarely get bitten. I was even down at the river once with a friend who was an A type during the day when they were swarming. Neither of us were drinking. He got over 100 bites i got 3. This study is crap.

I’ll add that some like myself don’t get bitten anymore then anyone else, but our reaction to the bite is a lot more pronounced then most others.

O Pos and don’t get bitten often while my A Pos wife might as well be sending smoke signals, every mosquito n a 5 mile area will find her.

Mosquitoes are attracted to bright color clothing, not dark for the purpose of feeding. They like to hide in dark places however.

Only gravid females feed on blood. They follow the emission of co2. Once near a source they hone in via infrared/thermal imaging of veins. Colors have little to do with attraction.

Eat garlic ,garlic powder and there will de a lot less attraction and feeding

Doesn’t hold true for me. They rarely bite me, I wear mostly dark clothes, have type O blood and drink beer with no noted change. I have to go with my father’s thoughts, that eating a diet that regularly includes garlic and raw onions deters the bugs.

I used to get attacked a lot until I started eating spicy foods and using condiments such as Tabasco. It might mean something, it might not.

That doesn’t work for me I can eat a whole head of garlic and they still bite me we have a love hate relationship they love me and I hate them

Idk if this works, but awhile ago I decided to allow mosquitos to gain a good nights dinner off of me. I was in Iowa so the risk of diseases was low, but I went from being Being bitten all the time to never getting bit. Idk if the body Can create its own repellents, but it sure seems like I did.
