7. Bug Out Bags

For most people, everything they own in the world is in one place: their home. But what if your home is destroyed? Fires, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes–all these things are guaranteed to happen again somewhere. These are just a few reasons why you need a bug out bag.

8. Shelter

This is more of a skill than a thing, but it’s a very important skill. That last thing you want to do is curl up under a tree while the cold air nips at your face and dampness from the ground seeps into your clothes. Do that, and you risk getting hypothermia. Hopefully you have a tarp and some cordage in your bug out bag, but it’s possible to build a shelter from scratch.

Without the proper supplies in your bug out bag and knowing how to build a shelter, you're not going to last very long out in the wild. Sure you can travel to your bug out cabin if you have one, but knowing how to build an insulated shelter that can keep you protected from the elements is one skill every person should have.

For the last couple of supplies you need to have, #10 is often not considered because many underestimate just how important these items will be post-collapse.

However, if you're in need of medicine or something that could be life saving, knowing how to do this will be invaluable to you and your group. Find out what makes #10 so important after the break.

What you’ll really need is a full flask and TP. Ta-da!

Most of what is said in this article can be bought in the camping section of most stores I like Cabela’s myself and loaded in a back pack. good stuff to have but do try to learn how to cook with a camp fire as it is not as easy as a stove.

Colloidal silver!!! Its kinda on the list, #9. It kills EVERYTHING. Except you. IT KILLS MRSA. But nooooooooo everybody wants their FRICKIN DOCTORS and antibiotics. Ever since I started using silver for me and my family, I am a germ snob. I can’t stand to be around people when they have the sniffles, and say oh I’m okay, I’ve got theraflu. If they LISTEN I don’t get too upset but if they think they already know it all and don’t wanna hear it, I just wanna scream at them, get outta here with your germs sicko

Who is the author that is overusing the phrase SHTF? Not everyone who follows Die Hard Survivor is obsessed with a collapse of society or an apocalypse.

what i don’t understand is why so many people have negative things to say about pages they like or groups they follow, unlike or unfollow. Soo many snowflakes!
