Many of us watched the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey or before that Katrina, and now we understand that one of the major challenges facing the poor souls affected was not bugging out.

How many of those affected, however, were ready to bug out if they were forced to do so?

The reality is not many.

Ask yourself, if you had to get out now – grab the family, food, water, equipment, supplies, materials – are you ready?

The answer to that in most of our cases is “sort of.” For some of us, the answer would be “on paper.” For a few, “not at all” is the honest assessment.

Any of those answers, when push comes to shove, however, is not satisfactory.
