Over the years there have been many post-apocalyptic movies and TV series produced to entertain us. They range from the type of movies where bombs have been dropped, wiping out mankind, to weather change turning the surface of the world into a never-ending ice cube or a strength sucking sauna. Oh, and there are also the zombie apocalypse movie and television shows that suggest disease and chemistry gone amok!

There is a sort romanticism attached to these scenarios. We see the lone man or woman, trying to get by on their wits, attempting to forage for food and somehow looking like they’ve had a fresh haircut and shave despite the lack of implements. Yes, we know they are only movies but sometimes we wish the writers and producers would think a bit more outside the box.
