When you think of lions, what images come to mind? The king of the jungle (er… grasslands)? Mufasa? Aslan? The Cowardly Lion? Or do images of terror – like stories of lone male lions coming into human villages and attacking people – come to mind?

It’s hard to know how exactly a lion would respond to us in real life. Most of us have only seen lions behind the safe glass windowpane of our local zoos. But hey, we see them on Discovery Channel, so we know the odds probably aren’t in our favor.

Whatever they might do to us… one thing is probably pretty certain. We’re not going to respond to them like this teenager from South Africa. I don’t know about you, but I’m not gonna be tickling any lion feet in my near future.
