When the SHTF on a country-wide level we are going to be up to our armpits in things we will need to do. In our top five, if not number one, will be food. We may have plenty in our pantry now but if those weeks and months turn into years you will need a way of procuring more food.

If you are a good hunter and there is plenty of game you have it made but remember, you are not the only hunter out there in the woods. Others will also find the need to put Bambi’s Mom and Thumper on the dinner table. In other words, alternate ways of finding food will become imperative.

Why not catch fish? Even if you do not consider yourself a great fisherman, or even if you do, there is an easy way to set up a fish trap that is not only clever but works amazingly well. This can be something to teach the kids because although it might initially be little strenuous, with digging and being certain the pipes are just right, it really is not that difficult.
