Getting ready for a collapse is vital — it's not only important to have a bug out bag and location set up, but it's also just as important to have a plan in place for friends and family members. Even then, if we think we're prepared, going through an actual survival situation is something altogether.

For example, recently Hawaii had a scary wake-up call when a disturbed employee transmitted a cell phone message to the residents of Hawaii. Everyone thought that a missile was going to hit the state and panicked.

In reality, if this event would have taken place for reals, the likelihood of anyone surviving would have been slim to none. But one thing did come out of this horrific nightmare – it got people thinking about how to prepare. They also asked themselves, how do you know when it's time to bug out for a survival scenario?

Sometimes the signs that a collapse is going to happen is apparent, such as if there's an attack on our nation or we experience a natural disaster. We know it's time to get out of dodge as soon as possible. however, if the signs aren't that clear and by the time we leave the area, it could be too late.
