Getting stranded in a huge body of water is terrifying – we do not know what is beneath us, how to get to dry land and even if we do, whether or not some vessel will happen along and save us.
Then there is the crushing solitude.
Get lost in the wilderness, there is enough to do to keep us occupied and keep the depressing thoughts at bay.
