Sure, it's not very practical. If there's an EMP strike all of his electronic systems will likely be useless once his generator runs out of fuel, and he'll only be able to sit in the dark. But this isn't about practicality. He knew what he wanted and he DID IT.
Dreams aren't about practicality; they are about getting what we want, whatever that may be. If your dream is to have the perfect bunker for all scenarios, then build it. His was to have an awesome bunker and man did he deliver.

One i follow this nut, lol more of a man cave, just for shits and giggles, guess who ever did the article, does not follow, him, he also shows how simple it is to, build, with standard steel, they also have any idea about emp. Becouse this is the best way to shield from it. Even his floor, is welded, steel plate.

I would never go into a bunker – for I would want to see what is coming at me. And another reason that is a good one – an EMP attack would take out all Electricity around the area and you would be in that bunker for the rest of your life, not being able to get out. Surprise your grave.

Wrong, an emp would not take out all power to those that live in a metal structure with surge protection and back up power.. It would take out the power grid, if unprotected by a reflective shield and any pourous surface structure.. A vehicle with a computer, running, yes.. But, if that vehicle is not running, it will not effect it.. A vehicle with points and condensor, maybe.. But, if you had an extra set, you can keep driving
