(Video) Water is a Crucial Item to Stockpile. Watch How a Prepper Shows Us How to Store it for SHTF.

water storage

Most of us know that water is one of the single most important preps (if not the most important) a prepper will ever need during a long term SHTF situation. Without water, much of your food will be rendered useful, especially if you depend on MREs and freeze-dried foods to pull you through.

Also, if you have stockpiled flour and grain, you will also need water so you can make something with those ingredients. To digest the food you cook, it's vital to have plenty of water to flush things out of your system.

For these reasons and more, it's important to not only store water, but also obtain as much as possible for long-term survival.

Also, let's not forget about a backup plan. And a backup plan for that backup plan…

After the break check out a video where a prepper will show you how to store and stockpile water for the long term the right way. No one wants to be stuck without water when SHTF!

Tear out a piece of drip system tube, and drink out of the sprinkler system pipes.

Also each house has about 50 gallons of stored water in the hot water tank.

Less for some. Also some opt for the more energy efficient water heating using a tankless system.

    They then would have none.

Tankless water heaters take significant amount of energy to heat water as it passes by. But because it doesn’t have to keep “50 gallons” hot 24/7 (even when not in use) it saves a lot on energy usage. And you never run out of hot water
