When SHTF, where will you be? Hopefully, you'll be holed up somewhere safe with your family, with months or years of supplies and armed to the teeth.

Unfortunately, life rarely goes the way we planned, and even if you have been spending years preparing for this event, you could still be caught with your pants down.

There is a possibility of an event occurring when you're far from home, or even within a few miles of your home, and circumstances make the journey impossible.

Until you can salvage the situation, you'll need to keep your wits about you and your guard high. How will you defend yourself without your tried and trusted weapons?

When this happens, your best option is probably going to be to get creative with the tools you have at your disposal to make weapons of your own.

Spoiler alert: we're not talking about simply picking up a stick and swinging it at your attackers.
