When the idea of using steel wool on our car’s windshield was first suggested to us we shook our head in a “no” gesture.
After all, this is the type of pad you use on pots and pans, an abrasive material that scrubs out rust and filth that has been on worn items for years and years. Why would you want to put that on your windshield?!
But then it hit us. Do we really think about what our car’s windshield puts up with day to day? It is constantly out there in the elements, takes on winter snows and summer heat. It’s a tough little puppy!
Then, when we heard that car dealers have been using steel wool on car windshields for decades it all came together! What matters is the density of the steel wool, the type with super-fine wires.
