(Video) He Takes Out an Aluminum Beer Bottle. How He Transforms it Into a Reliable Stove? Amazing!

You can make a small stove with just empty aluminum beer bottles, a few hand tools, and a little creativity. We're about to show you an amazing video that demonstrates the step-by-step guide to creating this little masterpiece.

The DIY video is part of the Stove Secrets series from IntenseAngler. In the video, he starts out with two aluminum beer bottles which he measures and marks with a black marker. He first marks 2 1/2 inches from the bottom of the first bottle. Then he uses a straight edge to mark the neck of the bottle, then marks an additional 2 inches above the neck. He holds the bottle upside down and carefully draws straight lines around the bottle where he plans to cut it.

Using a small handsaw, he cuts the first bottle in half. He then trims the remaining marked spots on the bottom half, and does the same to the top half. With the latter piece, he takes a large metal file and runs it across the top part to create small notches for fuel ports.

You will see four small dents across from each other once you successfully filed, then you sand the inside of the bottle neck to remove burns. You can then insert the top part funnel down inside the bottom part.

You then measure the second bottle and start making a 1-inch mark on the bottom. Using the same small handsaw, cut that bottle in half. Take the bottom half and carefully cut off the top part as marked and sand the inside. This piece is now the die part. You take the drill and create a small hole in the center for venting purposes. You can them take a shop press or car jack to flare out the die.

Made one and not worth the effort in my opinion. As a long distance back packer I prefer spending the coin and get a MSR pocket rocket. In times of SHTF you may want to try making one but if you have a prepper mentality you already have some form of cooking stove.Just my own personal experience with that type of stove.Fun to try but that’s as far I would go.

We dont have the aluminum beer cans in Sweden, so I made one out of a AXE deodorant spraycan instead and it works like a charm.
More durable and stronger than a beercan stove and yet smaller to pack as you dont need a potstand as you place the pot right on the stove.
