History has always had a very special place in our heart. It is by looking into our past that we can see what we are now — and where we should be in the future.

It is also by looking into those frightening and unique times that we learn to survive what may come.

Our Father fought as a very young man during WW2 and some of the stories he told us were at once horrifying, heartbreaking and also filled with adventure and patriotic reality. He was a survivor but many of his friends did not.

So, we had a lot of nostalgia as we watched the video on the next page. We thought back on stories about bunkers and the hard fight against an enemy you knew one day would somehow become a friend.

The video gives us a peek into those days, on European soil, looking into near holes in the ground that, for some, became homes as well as stations to evade the enemy.

Take a look and be reminded what it is we, as preppers and survivors, fight for.
