Survivalists know the value of a good rope and perhaps that's why many of is have a nice collection of cordage. If you use rope often or for many different applications, chances are you've dealt with frayed ends.

You can use frayed cord ends, but it's still easier to use a perfectly smooth cord. We've got a useful video for you that demonstrates how to whip and fuse cords, so you'll never be stuck with frayed cords again!

Bryan from Survival On Purpose makes good use of his time by showing different types of cords including those made of synthetic and natural fibers. He explained which ropes should be fused and which ones should be whipped.

Ropes made up of synthetic fibers can be fused together with a small flame from a lighter. Unfortunately, you can fuse natural fiber ropes, you will need to whip them instead. He shows you two very similar method to try.
