Survival Myths Almost Everyone Believes at One Point or Another (But Shouldn’t)

There are generally three types of approaches to emergency preparedness and making it through a survival incident.

The first is the ultra-prepared who are confident they have addressed almost anything they could face. The second is the type that is constantly questioning, improving and learning.

The third type does not think anything will ever happen to them.

For this article, we will ignore the third type; they are lost and while maybe not hopeless, they can see hopeless from their intellectual front porch.

For the other two, however, there are a core set of myths that many survivalists believe that at best will be a hindrance to their well-being, if not downright deadly.
