Start a Fire in the Rain – It is not as Hard as it Seems!

starting a fire on a rainy day

Fire is a pretty basic and in most cases, pretty critical element of survival.

Whether you are stuck in your house with no power during cold weather months or stranded in the wilderness and just about everything in between, at least a survival situation is made much more tolerable if you can create and maintain a fire.

We use fire to warm ourselves, cook, sterilize water and equally as important, to keep our morale up.

A fire, from start to finish, has one enemy, though, that can dampen even the most stalwart survivalist's mood and resolve – wet weather.

But if you know what you are doing, while wet weather is never preferable in a survival situation, you can with practice get as good at making a fire as when conditions are ideal.

The video on the next page shows you how.
