As preppers, we often love reading about history, since it's from history that we have learned not to repeat the same mistakes of the past. We also have learned how to thrive and survive in the present. Even if a catastrophic situation should arise, we can look to the past and think about how it was handled. From there we can assess whether to follow in our forefather's footsteps or create our own path.

We're about to share an incredible story with you about how a historical tank was recovered from a lake bottom. It definitely got us thinking about what other treasures remain undiscovered all around us.

In 1944 a young boy in Estonia noticed some tracks near Lake Kurtna Matasjary. They appeared to be tank tracks that lead to the nearby lake but there weren't any tracks leading back out.

Since the little boy frequently spent time by the lake he eventually noticed some bubbles coming from the lake, as if something was slowly sinking. He wasn't sure what it was, so he just let it go, but little did he know what it really was nearly 50 years later…

The boy, now a grown up man, told the local war history club what he saw as a young boy. The club was so excited by his story that they set out to see what was going on at the bottom of the lake. What they encountered was amazing.
