Lessons From the Great Depression (That Everyone Can Still Apply Today)

Great Depression

The economic collapse of 2008 – 2009 was a shock to the world economy and many people were hurt because of it.

As bad as it was and as bad as politicians tried to make it out to be, though, it was nothing when compared to The Great Depression of the late 1920's and 1930's.

During that period of economic collapse, entire life savings were wiped out, unemployment was for many a way of life, there was no robust government safety net and folks scrambled constantly, just to keep from starving.

It was in many ways about as close to doomsday as the United States as a country has ever gotten.

People made it though, and the lessons they learned, which are quickly being forgotten, still largely apply today.

We cover a few of those lessons on the next page and you should use them as you formulate your own strategy for surviving – be it a small survival incident or something massive.
