How to Make a DIY Brick Rocket Stove for SHTF

brick rocket stove

Cooking food is one of those challenges that comes with almost every survival situation. This is especially true is the issue is a power outage.

While most of us have outdoor grills, but if the SHTF situation goes on long enough, eventually the propane stocks will vanish and traditional charcoal will lessen. Depending on the survival situation the outdoor cooking options may no longer be available.

It is at either of those points that an incredible rocket stove, made from 24 bricks will become a viable option to use to cook food outside.

You can build it quickly on a flat surface and despite the bricks, all you need is a wire mesh/grate to hold the fuel a few inches off the ground. This will allow for the air to access the fire.

Done this in the backyard. works great and helps get rid of the sticks that the kids gather so I can mow the lawn. I love the rocket stove concept and am working on different designs depending on the circumstances they are being used in. Thanks for the post and if you have any other posts with different designs it would be greatly appreciated!
