How to Construct a Hobo Stove From a Tin Can

tin can

Unless your entire food supply is precooked and packaged or you eat it raw, chances are very good in any survival situation you will need to cook a meal.

This reality is not only because eating some foods raw is unhealthy, but because there is nothing better in terms of morale-building than eating a hot, recently cooked meal.

What do you do though if the power is out or the gas is off and you do not have any outside cooking methods, such as a grill available?

You can build a fire, but that takes a lot of effort and uses up a lot of fuel you could use for warmth – it also attracts attention and if you live in an area experiencing drought, can pose a whole different type of risk.

Luckily, if you can find a can – you have options.

On the next page, we show you what those options are.
