When it comes to bugging out many preppers will tell everyone the more we can carry with us the better. They figure we do not know how long we will have to live in your bug out location so if we can take it all with us then we are set for a while. That is not such a bad idea but there are problems.

If you are going to be walking to your bug-out shelter how do you expect to make it there while carrying a back-load of survival items?

Sure, you might be fine for the first mile or two but eventually, you are just going to have to dump some of that stuff! Your best bet is to really look at what you have and take out all of the unnecessariness.

    Have a few supply dumps spaced out so you don’t rely on just one is better than carrying everything . If you are robbed they only get a small amount of your gear. .
