5 Things a Person Should NEVER Stockpile for SHTF

stockpiling

When a SHTF scenario hits, we will need everything. We do not deny that. However, there are some things we will need more of than others. We know we will need water and ready-to-eat foods. There will be certain tools that will be vital, fire, and medical supplies.

Yet, there are some things that are much less necessary than you may at first think. Honestly, we are not saying you should not have certain items but stockpiling them will waste your time, especially if in months and years to come you realize many of your basics will be go-to's and the other things you’ve so carefully stockpiled are still sitting in your pantry or storage room, hardly touched.

Some forward-thinking preppers may even discover some items when it comes to bartering, that will be far more in demand than others. Others will not. It will be at those moments you will truly know that hind sight really is 20-20.

On the next page, we have a great video with logical reasons as to why you should not stockpile certain survival items.

You may disagree but our host makes some compelling arguments! Go over and take a listen.

That was a very good video. Too many people think that they can use today’s conveniences after the s*** hits the fan

According to the movie Road Warrior you can just have lots of cans of dog food. I’m not sure if it’s really worth surviving the post apocalyptic era. So much rampant crime.

Crap I really thought I was gonna get some use out of that crash cart and and battery powered grain pestle

What’s the problem with using one page and actually writing text instead of videos? I read faster than mist and can’t stand all this video crap when text would do just fine. Or is it that no one can read anymore?

I would add not storing great amounts of crackers, because they spoil quickly. I would also recommend against storing any processed breakfast cereals, because they are not healthy, and even whole grain breakfast cereals are going to go stale pretty quickly.
The benefit to storing whole, unprocessed grains would be the longevity, but a disadvantage which i thought of, which was not in the video, is that in a SHTF situation, you may want to be conserving energy, so doing extra steps like grinding grains to use, would not be the best idea for the first year or so. Once you are settled down and stabilized, then you can get out of survival mode and into homestead mode, and that would be the time to get out the whole grains to grind up.

Some people put on videos while they do other stuff. They get the information they need without having to hold a device at all times. You may be able to read, but that doesn’t make you any less of an idiot.
